The long journey...
In the midst of the Melbourne covid outbreak this beautiful mum to be contacted me & desperately wanted to do a maternity session. At the time I didn't realise the significance and story behind the bump, but I did everything I possibly could - speaking to business Vic and keeping an eye on the legislation - anything to make this happen for her. We got lucky, the night before stage 4 lockdown effected most businesses I was able to visit her home for her session.
It was a bitter sweet for me, meeting a new mum to be, knowing it would be the last session for 2-3 months. Sarah was a dream, she let me get creative & was so easy to work with and I must say the outcome was just magic!
A few weeks later the images are ready, baby has arrived & it wasn't until she shared her beautiful images on social media that I had the opportunity to read her story.
Several rounds of IVF, more heartbreak than anyone should have to go through, several countries to get answers, and during this miraculous pregnancy she got diagnosed with bells palsy at 34 weeks.
But now she has her sweet babe in her arms.
Her story has taught me so many things, and given me a very new appreciation for the unseen & commonly unspoken about, challenges many women face on a day to day basis.
She has a wonderful social media account sharing her story in an openly and loving way and I feel so grateful to have had the opportunity to learn about a whole new world I hadn't encountered before.
