The Willows collaboration with Blushed by Amanda
Earlier this year I was contacted by another mum who had just launched her makeup business and asked about a collaboration. At the time summer was upon us and scheduled for busy, so we weren't really sure what we could accomplish. But with a smoke haze and some hectic rain, I ended up having a really quiet January. And this gave me some time to come up with an idea to get creative.
Motherhood sessions always spoke to my heart and I decided to contact some of my gorgeous friends to put together an epic day of shooting. And bonus! The lovely Amanda was available for makeup.
We started in the afternoon at my place, a house full of kids and clothes piled up on the couch. Music playing and a little corner of the dining room prepared for some portraits to keep us busy between makeup, breastfeeds, 3 year olds and hot chipies.
These photos of my friends make my heart so full, and it was on this day that I felt my photography journey taking a special turn. I am forever greateful.
