Come along on a journey of mind, body & heart.

Welcome one on one Mentoring with me, Jasmine!

A cosy, non judgemental space for you to BLOOM & CONNECT. With a fellow photographer, client and yourself.

My aim is to make you feel as though you have been wrapped up in a big warm hug. To take that slow and steady breath of wholesomeness that can only come by being in tune with yourself and with your clients.

I believe in community. The kind of women who would dance naked on the beach with you. Watch the moon rise over the ocean & see you for who you really are. The kind of clients that will love on all your work, be hype for your self portraits and rave to their friends about how amazing you helped them feel.

I believe the patriarchal & capitalist society we live in has conditioned us to focus our energies on things that don't serve us well. The world can be such a beautiful place if we can open our minds and free ourselves from thoughts and ideas that dim our shine. Our clients can sometimes focus on the things they feel are their 'flaws' and I believe it's part of our job to show them that they are beautiful, even with these things they may not love about themselves. We need to be able to read our clients, see how far we can encourage them to go, be able to guide them to poses and wardrobe items that make them feel the most comfortable and relaxed. We need to be able to be fully in control so they feel safe.

Why am I opening with this? I feel it deep in my cells that as a woman working with other women, that it all begins with us. We can ask ourselves "why maternity" and we can dig deep, and one of the reasons that unites all of us maternity photographers, is something along the lines of creating beauty, showing our clients how beautiful they are, empowering them and making them feel good.

And the best way to achieving this? Empower yourself. Break free of the thoughts that are holding you back, not only in business but as a living being. I highly encourage you to take self portraits. Often. And you don't have to show them to the world, but if we have never been infront of the camera how can we imagine what our client is feeling?

During our session I'll talk you through my experiences & ways that I have connected with my heart. It's important to remember that during our conversations you don't have to agree with anything I say. Connecting to yourself is not "one size fits all" and I don't claim to have all the answers. What I am encouraging you to do is to open your mind to concepts and ideas that may be new for you. To listen with an open mind & to see where this leads your thoughts. To challenge those thoughts see if new thoughts can take you on a winding journey to arrive closer to your true self.

It's with a heart full of love I'm going to ask you, over the next week, to contemplate some difficult questions. As part of our conversation before the session I'd love for you to share a little bit about who you are, why you do what you do & what draws you to my work. I want deep and personal. Real and RAW. Connecting comes more easily with an honest heart.

And lastly when pondering these questions and realising your answers, please do so in a non judgemental way. They are just answers. Neither good nor bad. Can you just notice?

When you feel ready please have a slow read through & let the thoughts come to you.

  1. How many times a day are you unkind to yourself?
  2. How many times a day are your thoughts unkind to others?
  3. Are you naturally questioning your unkind thoughts or are you hearing them as facts?
  4. Can you acknowledge the parts of yourself that you often think negatively about?
  5. How many times a day are you kind to yourself & others, physically and mentally?
  6. Do you feel an intuitive connection with your body, your monthly cycle, your emotional and physical needs?
  7. If you have experienced pregnancy, birth, raising children, how has this impacted your thoughts on your body, your behaviour, you yourself as a person.
  8. Are you triggered by other women?
  9. Are your business goals ego related?
  10. Are you ready to be honest with yourself?
